Trying to get this position combined with locations management. It's alright as long as you have a strong team to back you up. All is smooth when you arrive to the set. No ones late, location is ready for occupancy.

I bring my cool box along feed the crew ave the kettle on. Make them feel their special. Flirt with the girls. Pretend your busy otherwise it drags the feel when the director or the photographer sees you hanging around.

I am shooting a model portfolio today. Yesterday I was being sandwiched by two photographers (seniors). One wants me to shoot for a PR job that will make me 30mins late for my appointment session and loose my concentration. And the other one wants to bring all the equipment on his location shoot. I manage to cancel both their shoots.

Small guys like me always gets stepped on, but who cares I am still shooting this model not because the management said so. I am shooting because I want to shoot it, even without both (concentration and equipment).

This is the kind of abusive loop hole the management looks for, you’re drive and enthusiasm. When you look at the reality it's just because of the money not your creativity.
